Ack!

I just realized I did not sew in the sleeves before doing the side seams. Do you think I can insert the sleeves w/o pulling the seams?

It's starting to look like something

I have sewed up the shoulder seams and side seams so I can finally start checking for fit. It looks pretty good so far!

Using "Stich and Bitch" for seaming guidance, I fake grafted the shoulder seams (page 77) and used the mattress stick to bring the sides together (page 74). Be careful to check the side seams as you go because one could be longer than the other. The advice the book offers is to take one running bar on the short side and two on the long side to catch up. But you won't have to do it for the length of the seam so keep checking as you go.

My goal is to finish seaming the Auburn Camp Shirt this long weekend.

I finished knitting more than a month ago, before Christmas I think, but the finishing on this sweater seemed so daunting. It involves sewing seams and also more knitting, like the collar and the cuffs on the sleeves.

But I am tired of finishing sweaters at the end of their season. I want to wear this in the spring!
